Did you know that an average American drinks 3.1 cups of coffee per day? Everyone knows that coffee stains teeth and has enough caffeine to keep you going throughout the day. Coffee has even become a cultural statement. People of all walks of life, from high-school teenagers to hollywood superstars and those headed towards retirement, are making coffee an every day part of their mornings, afternoons, and sometimes -- long evenings.

2. Use a straw. The taste will be the same. Sipping through a straw will propel the liquid straight into your throat avoiding the front surfaces of the teeth.3. Skip the extra sugars, syrups and whipped cream. The sugar acts as a glue that binds liquid.Bonus Tip: Don't feel bad about drinking coffee. A little known fact is that tea actually stains your teeth more than coffee.
4. Rinse your mouth with water after drinking coffee. If you have a tooth brush, why not brush them?
5. And if you're a true coffee-holic, drink the full cup with one big gulp. Make sure that the coffee is not hot. You will risk burning your tongue and increasing the sensitivity of the enamel of your teeth.
